 for a short period, and it agrees, this period of suspension does not affect your LHC loading (you are considered to be maintaining your cover).

Suspension of Membership – for Financial Hardship

Fund Rules allow for members to receive a temporary period of financial relief if the member is unable to meet premium payments as a result of Financial Hardship and can provide evidence of same.

Members who have held over three (3) years continuous membership of a Benefit Table will be granted one (1) month free for Financial Hardship membership on that same Table.

Members who have held over five (5) years continuous membership of a Benefit Table will be granted two (2) months free for Financial Hardship membership on that same Table.

Members will be restricted to a claim for Financial Hardship once in every three years of continuous membership of any Table.

All entitlements of the Membership which is granted a Financial Hardship assessment shall remain unchanged during the period of financial relief.

A member who applies for financial relief will be assessed as being eligible if the member provides evidence of being in current receipt of unemployment or sickness benefits under the Commonwealth Social Security Act 1947, or for any other similar reason as allowed by Transport Health.
