Healthy Choice Hospital
If you are a young and healthy single, or a young couple with no plans to start a family, Healthy Choice Hospital offers a great low cost way to cover yourself and reduce your tax liabilities in the process. Healthy Choice Hospital provides cover in both a private and a public hospital with a known out-of-pocket cost if and when you have a hospital stay.
By choosing a lower premium, cover for joint replacements, pregnancy and birth related services, Assisted reproductive services, vasectomies, reversals and sterilisation, lap band surgery, eye surgery (including cataracts) and renal dialysis are excluded. Restricted benefits also apply for cardiac treatment and coronary care, psychiatric and rehabilitation.
A Co-payment applies towards the cost of your hospital stay, this allows you to further reduce the premium that you pay. $150 for same day (excluding dental procedures) or $100 per night for overnight stays. The Co-payment applies to a maximum of $500 per person, per calendar year to a maximum of $500 per single membership or $1000 per family/couple/single parent membership.
